Illinois Science Olympiad’s Youth Advisory Council aims to improve accessibility to vital resources and mentorship across the state. Our personal and diverse experiences within Science Olympiad are invaluable to our mission. Science Olympiad offers in-depth scientific knowledge, academic rigor, connection with high-achieving individuals, and cultivation of interest in specific fields. Thus, we are committed to fostering the Science Olympiad spirit by leveling the playing field and providing equal opportunities for all competitors. This includes, but is not limited to, outreach materials, event guides, and workshops created by the Youth Advisory Council. Through these initiatives, the Illinois Science Olympiad’s Youth Advisory Council strives to build a vibrant, thriving community—allowing anyone, anywhere, to pursue their passions.
